Felsige Gärten
New idea, new mind, new way...
To be honest, Picco's idea to put up a mixedline for winters with less ice at "Hängende Gärten" seemed quite odd to me. In winters with good ice amount, Hängende Gärten form to a stunning ice line of grade six, first ascended 1988 by two legends Andi Orgler and Otti Wiedmann. The route was held as the hardest iceclimb of Tyrol for long time. And exactly there a new mixedline should be generated? As Picco called on Friday if I would join him to try his new project, I was really skeptical. But for Picco there was no reason to be skeptical, his mind was clear and focused to develop a new possibility. "Change the focus of your mind, and your life will change" - an old Chinese wisdom helped to make a decision to join Picco. And the decision was right, the climb was brilliant - especially pitch three turned out to offer challenging iceclimbing at its best and produced a big smile on my face! Thanks Picco for this odd but genial idea.
